Stand-Up

Beck began performing stand-up comedy in 2001 just weeks before 9/11—a super funny time, as you might recall. She has performed on and off again in comedy clubs and other places of ill repute, mainly in Tennessee, Ohio, Maryland, and New York. She emceed and organized LadyFest showcases in Columbus, OH, from 2003-2004 and spent six years teaching young’uns ages 8-18 comedy writing and performance in Washington, DC, and Maryland, while earning her doctorate. Her comedy is silly, smart, punchy, and full of outrageous ideas for how to make this world a better place.
